Christmas may have come early yesterday. Our bee-keeper friend just dropped off two 4.5 quart pails full of delicious raw honey . It seems the hives he had on this farm (in the pasture, north of the creek) did quite well again this year.
Here’s hoping we’ll get some of his bees again in 2011. I think Carol feels the need to continue to have honey coming in. She’s gotten use to cooking with honey as a substitute for processed sugar.
If you are interested in purchasing some of the raw honey that was produced here on the farm, just email us. I’m sure we can get you hooked up. When our beekeeper friend was here, he said a pail of honey sells for only $35. That price is WAY cheaper than the stuff in the little bear squeeze bottles that one finds in the stores. And the honey that is made from the bees on this farm is VERY local.
