On the farm’s Facebook page, I announced that Carol started making a 2lb batch of cheddar cheese (from goat’s milk) this morning.  The announcement attracted a little attention and some yearning for more info.

I promised to post a few pics of our press and the plans I used to build it.  The drawing isn’t perfect, but I was able to figure it out.  I don’t know where I got the plans, but the plans mention a New England Cheesemaking Supply Co.

The press is made so that it can produce up to 100lbs pounds of pressure and as little as 10lbs..
