It’s been a long, cold holiday weekend. The used part we had to put back into the furnace has been giving us a few challenges.
It’s bad enough not having a new fan switch that works, but when you need to rely on the broken one to get you through the Thanksgiving weekend may be asking too much. Last night, the house got pretty chilly a couple times. Even though it was cozy under the covers, the chill on my face was more than I could stand. I had to get up in the wee hours in order to knock on the furnace so the fan would kick-in. It was hard to get out of bed when it’s below 60°F in the house. When you know it’s only going to get colder, you gotta do what you gotta do. Tired, due to my lack of sleep, I slept late this morning. Sometime around 7:00AM, I could hear Carol having to fuss with the switch at least once. I was glad I showed her [yesterday] how to get things going.
Hopefully, next season will be better… this one isn’t starting out to well.
1:25PM: The furnace has continued to run without our help.
