This recipe makes a lot of cookies
Use butter, not margarine
Both cookies and dough freeze well
Heat sorghum.
Add soda
Remove from heat.
Stir in shortening
Add dry ingredients and brandy
Let stand in cool place for 5 days before baking to allow ingredients to blend
Roll out thin and cut into diamond shapes.
Bake at 375°F. Watch closely.
Frost with powdered sugar and water frosting.
NOTE:
This cookie is a lot of work. Once made, you will probably only
make it once a year after that.
